So we get to the fun part, introductions. Well, how's about I go first? I am sure you don't mind if I do. Excuse me while I write in the third person. It sounds as juicy as gossip, only this time it's all coming from me, the subject. 

 

Mbongeleni Bonga Hlomuka is a media and marketing specialist. He has an undying passion for different kinds of brands irrespective of their industry, except medicine. To him medicine is like the girlfriend he always liked but was intimidated by, even after he was provisionally accepted to study at Wits following his Grade 11 final year results.

 

Mbongeleni chose a path that shook his parents, he chose to do what was in sync with his personality and perceived intelligence, he chose to go into media specialising in marketing and business.  

 

"Making money for someone else my entire life did not quite make sense to me, it didn't sit right with my inquisitive nature" -  He says. 

 

He recently graduated his first tertiary qualification which is a three-year Media Diploma specialising in Marketing Management. This is his first step to business excellence. A month after graduating in July 2014 at Boston Media House, he realesed his first brand-orientated opinion piece on the leading network of online B2B communities for 20 industry sectors in South Africa and Africa - bizcommunity.com - of which he is now one of the marketing contributors. He has also published work on various sites such as Student Brands and CNBC Africa. His first nationally published article saw light in 2005 at 14 years of age.

 

He is currently practicing as a marketing consultant and assistant at Inkunzi Markets based at the World Trade Centre, Sandton. He also has adequate customer service experience in his young marketing career.
